How to display MP4 thumbnails?

Hi, does anyone know how to get windows explorer to display thumbnails for .MP4 files??

The following was posted on another forum but there has been no response to my question to explain how exactly to enter the key in the registry.

Start - Run - regedit
Navigate the tree on the left to the shellex for .mp4 and add the value as specified.
For an example look at the .mpg or some other format that has a thumbnail showing in explorer.
The values and placement for these are exactly the same.

Any chance you could give us some more details on this!

Ive opened regedit but not sure which thread to expand to find SHELLEX! Im a bit thick when it comes to the registry and things.

Check this thread out on Stevers forum, it explains how to do it, I have managed to get mine sorted and it is SWEET finally seeing the MP4 thumbs !

I can't see MP4 thumbnais either XP or even Ulead Photo Explorer!

If I convert to AVI with mp4Can2avi I can see!

Anibody can help?

I think will be a "good practice" to convert all MP4 files after tranfer from Xacti to PC... will be more compatibility! I think quality is same of original mp4... maybe only problem is never can see it at xacti!
