Will the firmware in this camera be upgraded ever in the future? It seems like that would be something the developers might add. Specifically, the dismal low-light performance of the camera could be addressed. Any others having luck shooting in lower light situations? My old Hi-8 camera could take excellent video in fireside and candlelight situations with a warm, but fuzzy analog graininess--but the images are definitely not unpleasant. I just can't imagine the product developers turning on the prototypes and not immediately noticing the less-than-brilliant quality of the display, and the meager performance in low light. Jonathan

first this is a hybrid camera and cannot be compared to Mini DV, Digital-8 or even SuperVHS..
the new C6 has better lowlight performance but will not match the night capture of the traditional video cams. maybe in the future it can.... but for now it doesnt..
there are advantages and disadvantages.. its up to you which are your priorities..
i bought my c6 because its handy,, and I can transfer the videos by USB file transfer. whereas the tape video cams you need to capture realtime
