Just bought a XACTI VPC-GH1EX. I have mp4s taken in FULL HD mode. They play back directly from the camera onto to TV perfectly. (using AV lead as I haven't got a HDMI lead yet)
The problem comes when trying to play the files back on a PC. I have tried WMP, VLC, Quicktime Player, updating codecs and even mp4cam2avi with no success. Even sony vegas struggles.
Any suggestions on how to fix the problem are very welcome.

I wouldnt say its a problem that you can actually fix but its just a combination of maybe your pc isnt fast enough to process the 1080p video files OR you dont have the correct codec available to smoothly play the files.
Try downloading the GSpot codec pack and use the FFV to see if playback improves. Luckily we are know that the original files are of good quality and will just take some minor tweaking on your pc!
Best of luck.

I had this problem when I transferred my first HD video to my PC via a USB cable. The video was jerky and slow although stills taken at 10million mp were perfect. After several attempts I removed my SD card from the camera, and inserted it into the PC SD slot. Result video played perfectly! I am running Windows 7 on a basic Advent office PC, and transferring the videos and stills to the Windows Live viewer that came with the computer. Hope that this helps.
