I noticed the first one suffers from the scanline effect as if it was interlaced yet the cameras are progressive.

You are correct!
This was made before I discovered Mp42AVI application. Before that I used to convert each file separetly to an MPEG1 AVI file! Im sure it worked out at 1GB per minute of MP4 video!
I nearly killed off my hardrive trying to access these really large AVI files and am so glad someone created Mp42AVI application!

I noticed you have an HD1. I have seen some stunning footage from this camera. In your opinion, do you think this camera lives up to it's hype?

Those videos are pretty horrible quality ! Is this because they had to be compressed to put them on YouTube Any chance of posting even a small snippet of uncompressed video???

I've been fiddling with the cam attached to my kitesurfing board. This is a short clip ..but the camera is too far outboard on the board (looks like a snowboard..) and I didn't have enough power in the kite that day... but it still gives a taste wetstuff.com/movie/clips_on_edge.htm You PC folks will need a recent v. of Quicktime. jim wetstuff.com

GKK: That's great! I love the way you taxi back for some room ..and then wind it up. You have somewhat the same problem as I: you need somehow to get the plane into the frame also. I've mounted mine on a kite 25M overhead ..but I look like 3k away with a wide open lens. This weekend I'm going to mount the camera out in the water on a tripod and kite around it. There may be more of a 'story' there. Cheers.

.............BTW: look for a RC C-17 video on YouTube. It's in German, but you won't need to know the language!
