Thank you for all the posts about softwares to use with Xacti. By the way, do you know if it would be possible to convert Xacti files to "standard" DivX, and edit them? Is it possible to play DivX on any TV with a small portable device? By now I have been looking to go from mpeg4 to mpeg2, but it is a pity to convert from a very compressed file to a much bigger one (though it is better than to go to AVI!!!). Sorry if my questions look stupid, I know nothing about DivX.

I tried it today. It is fantastic... 2 clicks to join and convert files in divX or xivd , 2 more clics on virtual dub version to cut the parts you do not want to keep. All in a few seconds. Audio converted in the same time in MP3 or PCM ... ability to change frame size for the web. No loss of quality, files as light as original ones ... so maybe a simple cd burning could be far enough to keep record of my vidéos, without getting into the mess of dvd burning... I lost so much time trying to find the right tool for these files... Sanyo should buy the license and give it on the software cd !!! It would save so much time to Xacti users !

Lee www.xacti.co.ukI can confirm that converting MP4 files to DIVX and XVID using this software (http://mp4cam2avi.sourceforge.net/) does infact work a treat in Magix and hopefully all standard video editors that previously couldnt cope with the .MP4 extension! Has anyone else tried any other video editing applications? Lee www.xacti.co.uk
