What soft did you use to make mp4 file? Try to make mp4 file with Ulead Video Studio 7 (which comes with xacti camera, it has mp4 export feature) Xacti should play these files well.

I convert dvd to mp4 by Xilisoft Video Converter. My Digital camera come with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3SE instead of Ulead Video Studio7. If Ulead Video Studio 7 really fulfill my expectation, Please tell me more about the procedures , for example: Should I renamed the file name to match the name requested by my Digital camera?

Is your MP4 file MPEG4 ASP or MPEG4 AVC? Sanyo won't play AVC files, it works with ASP only (MPEG4 has several profiles, AVC is more complex)

Hi GRAY WOLF
Since you did a superb job with mp4camtoavi, would you have something similar to extract avi from MKV container? (sorry, I know this is probably not the right place, but...)
Thanks and regards

I'm busy enough with MP4Cam2AVI yet But, I think it's easy to find free solution for mkv -> avi passing. I've heard about utilities like mkvextract etc.

I too have been trying to upload MP4 files from my PC (not originaly created using the Xacti) to my camera using Ulead 7 but it still cannot play them!
Was wondering if it's something to do with the fact that when you record a clip on the camera, .mdx and .msh files are created too. Does the camera need each of these files associated with the clip to play them?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
