Thought it's about time I got some decent webspace to show some more photos off! More updated over the weekend and feel free to add your own. Just get a free account at photobucket.com and post your links on the appropriate thread! Lee www.xacti.co.uk

I think these have been resized within photobucket! The album is located at :- photobucket.com/albums/v284/djleekee/Xacti%20Photos/You can also visit :-http://photobucket.com/albums/v284/djleekee/ and select other folders of photos that I have taken with the Xacti! (Photos not taken with the intention of use for this purpose but just day to day shots of what I have used the camera for so far!) Lee www.xacti.co.uk

Cool! Im a bit jealous!
Where you get it from and how much did you pay?
Video quality does tend to vary depending on weather conditions and the amount of lights being trown on a subject.
Is is wider in standard mode or hd mode?

I think Sanyo were the first people on the combined video/photo device market and other companies have seen how big the market was for such a device was. Sanyo then released a HD version which still had its quirks and image problems. We all know about these problems and the product is still being developed until we get something that is 100% what we desire. Until then I think most of us are still happy with what we've got and what we actually paid for it. That Panasonic model looks around the same size and maybe just a tad smaller than the HD1. It has a great 10 x optical zoom with optical stabilisation - which is great. I think the price is a bit steep - nearly £600 - of which you are only getting a 3MP camera. This new digital world is still developing and we can always wait for the next big thing around the corner - or just get it now! That Panasonic seems a fine camera but im sure it wont resolve ALL the issues you had with your Xacti - if it did im sure we would all rush to buy it! Please report back and tell us more about the camera - as this website is not just exclusively about Xacti but the whole digital camera revolution. Hope to catch you soon. Xacti www.xacti.co.uk

Lo there, Please could you tell us a few more details about :- Are you editing the MP4 videos directly or converting them with MP4Cam2Avi utility? Which application are you using to edit with? Which application are you using to author your dvd image? Which application are you using to burn your disks? Any other info might help us throw some light on what is really happening! Always keep it off!!! I used it once and it gave the video a strange flicker effect.
I try and use a tripod if I do need something to ber VERY still otherwise it makes it look quite natural with some movement.

You are correct in stating that the file size does change - but this increase is only neglible.
I suppose only the creator of that application knows EXACTLY what else it does to the file but they claim that it doesnt re-encode any video but only affects other file attributes.
